Terms and Conditions
The basis on which we provide tuition services.
1. About us
These terms apply to tuition provided by Birmingham STEM Vertex Academy Ltd. Relevant business and correspondence details will be included in the written booking documents.
2. Booking
A booking is confirmed when we have agreed the subject, stage, schedule and price in writing with the parent or guardian. Contracts are made with the parent or guardian, not the student.
3. Fees and payment
Fees are set out in your written quotation. Lessons are normally invoiced in advance. We may adjust rates with reasonable notice.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling
Please give as much notice as possible if a lesson must be moved. Notice periods and any charges for late cancellation are stated in your quotation.
5. Our responsibilities
We will provide tuition with reasonable care and skill, plan lessons against the relevant specification and give feedback on progress. We do not guarantee any particular grade or outcome.
6. Your responsibilities
Please ensure the student attends on time and prepared, complete any set work, and for home tuition provide a suitable space with a responsible adult present in the property.
7. Conduct
We may suspend or end tuition where behaviour towards a tutor is abusive, or where fees remain unpaid after reminders.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the fees paid for the lessons concerned.
9. Data protection
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Notice.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
